1. OpenAI will launch GPT Store, the shop for Chatbots trained by someone like you 🫵🏼.

At the moment it is an announcement and it is not launched, but it will be launched at the end of November. The GPT Store will be an app shop with custom chatbots 🤖, trained by users without programming knowledge 🤷🏻.

The aim is for users to train 🏋🏼‍♂️ and launch their own GPTs (that's what they call these community-created chatbots) so that they can be used by the community.

This opening step comes from OpenAI's growing need to generate extra income, as the expansion and growing popularity is generating exorbitant costs that they have to face 🤑. To give you an idea, with the current cost and revenue situation, OpenAI will not make it to 2025 if it maintains this level of costs 🫗 without generating new business avenues.

Although they have not yet revealed what the remuneration to creators will be like, they do state that there will be a distribution between users and the company. Involving non-technical profiles that can generate new proposals with the knowledge or creativity 🤔 that each one has, is an interesting new avenue of income to explore.

Some of the examples of GPTs that could be in this new Store (the new fashionable place on the Internet) are:

🧑🏼‍💻 Tech Advisor: works like a bot trained to help us solve problems with technology, computing, etc.

🧙🏻‍♂️🗒️ Sticker Whiz: it will behave like a wizard bot that turns your most ambitious dreams into stickers and sends them to you.

📝 Writing Coach: a bot willing to read your writing and give you advice on how to improve.

🧺 Laundry Buddy: this one helps you with stains, separation and everything related to laundry and washing machine. Let's see if we now call mothers for more pleasant things 👩🏼.

2. Ailin, the blood test kit from home with results explained for dummies🩸📊.

Conceived and founded during the pandemic by Isabel Caruana, the CEO of Ailin says that at that time she needed to have blood tests done, but confinement 😷 made drawing blood an odyssey. Her sisters, who live in the USA 🇺🇸, told her about the option of having it done at home (something very common there) and since then this has been her focus.

His value proposition is based on the fact that blood tests no longer require a visit to the doctor, who prescribes a test, a trip for the extraction and results that are not comprehensible to the average person. The same, simplified and with the guarantee of a laboratory 🧪 that analyses and a medical team 🧑🏼‍⚕️ that supervises the interpretation of the results.

Ailin simplifies and makes it more accessible to prevent and control certain aspects of health. The analyses are purchased according to the concern we have (this is one of the most interesting approaches at the product level) and the kit 📦 that we receive at home makes it very easy to extract and receive the results 📊.

In this time, the young startup has received awards and recognitions 🏆, they have the support of the laboratory of Clínica Universidad de Navarra and they focus on specific products to know the impact of stress 😫, sexual and reproductive health, lack of vitamins or food intolerances 🦀, among others.

👉🏻 Here you can read the news about Ailin and learn how they focus 2024 for partnerships with third parties for growth and expansion 🙌🏼.

👉🏻 Click here to meet them (if you are not an Oscar candidate 😵‍💫 when you see blood 🦀 like some people around here) choose a test and check how everything is going inside.

3. How are we buying the basics? FMCG is growing more online than offline 🛒

Total spending on FMCG purchases in the online channel in Spain has reached a turnover of €5,268M as of September 2023. Excluding the fresh produce category, the rest of FMCG shopping in digital has grown 🔝 by 23.6%, double that of the traditional channel, which is also growing, but with a 12.1% growth rate.

Who is leading this change? As expected, Millennials 👩🏻 (38% market share), but above them, Generation X 🙎🏻‍♂️ (with 40% market share). Generation Zeta 👩🏼‍🦳 is also present, but mainly reigning in the territory of QuickCommerce ⏱️, i.e. ultra-fast deliveries, although their prominence is expected to grow as their purchasing power increases.

In general, the user is looking for good prices, service and ease in everything comparable and storable, hence events such as inflation, the rapid rise in the price of certain products such as sugar 🧁 or olive oil 🫒, lead us to explore new options for comparison and purchase.

Other variables such as lack of free time, new family types 👨‍👧‍👦 and lack of planning in food and personal care purchases lead to the use of ecommerce or quickcommerce shopping to automate the task or carry out the purchase outside business hours 🥱.

5. Nomad Homes, online home buying platform, raises €19M for expansion🏠.

The Proptech market 🏢 in Spain continues to grow, in this case, with the startup Nomad Homes that sets its eye on our territory 🥘 for an upcoming expansion.

The platform seeks to be a real estate marketplace where owners, real estate agents, companies, entities and buyers, have a unified space where to carry out the sale and purchase of real estate 🏡🪧.

With presence and operations in Paris and Lisbon, in Spain they have headquarters in Madrid and Barcelona, operating with agreements with mortgage partners 💰.

With a total of €44M raised since it was founded in 2020, this new €19M boost will go partly towards boosting its activity in Spain, specifically by giving greater prominence to its matchmaking activity 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 for mortgage services and seeking collaborations with other players already established in the real estate landscape.

Its founders now have the objectives of completing its technological roadmap 📲 and continuing to build the platform that brings together the users and processes necessary 🤝🏼 to make buying and selling a home an increasingly optimised process 👏🏼.
