1. Barkibu, the pet insurance, raises 4.5M€ and drives the national PetTech sector🐩.
That there are more dogs and cats than ever in our homes is clear: the data says it and we see it on the street🐕🦺. The PetTech sector is the consequence of this craziness of pet-children 👩🏻🍼 (dogs taking on the role of children) that Millennials and Gen Z have incorporated into family life. The non-grandparents (boomers and gen X) are the second affected ones 😭 (or not🤘🏼) by this new family model. In a country where veterinary care is not expensive 💲 (if we compare it with Europe or the US), the lack of habit when it comes to paying for health services is evident 😾 and it's difficult to handle veterinary expenses. It is a platform that straddles between PetTech and Insurtech and its value proposition is the refund of the amount spent on veterinarians 🩺 and pet health care through insurance 💶. Since its founding, they have raised a little over 11M€. In this latest round, they have raised 4.5M€ from KFund for expansion and improvements 🚀.Their category currently reaches 3% of the pet population in Europe🇪🇺.
It is expected that by 2027 the pet health insurance business turnover will reach 150M€ 🆙.

2. Google takes another step towards a password-free world 🙄.
Certain online processes have remained the same since the inception of the Internet📜. The password login is one of the most primitive🐗, but also annoying and archaic.
