1. Fazil Neobank, the proposal for Generation Z with only the essentials for payment🧑🏼🎤.
We know that Generation Z is peculiar. After all, which generation isn’t? 🤷🏼♀️ As they grow up (and the rest of us age), they position themselves as the social group to attend to 🙇🏻♂️. Until now, neobanks or Challenger Banks 🏦 were aimed at Millennials, who were the protagonists of the generational change. N26 with its wonderful minimalism 🆒 or Revolut with all-in-one 🛠️ were designed for those born between 1980 and 1996.
As their successors, the Zetas, start to have income, expenses, and economic independence from their parents👋🏼, the Fintech sector creates alternatives for them. However, being the most skeptical generation of the traditional financial system, it is quite a challenge to build something that makes sense and is absurdly simple and filled with emojis 🙉 everywhere. This is the case of Fazil Neobank (you can learn more about them here), which is in full crowdfunding round 💸. The Basque startup has managed to acquire 5,000 users who have moved €13M with their bank accounts in Fazil💳.

2. Sportechs shaking up the scene: the era of Padel(tech) 🎾.
Sports activities 🤾🏻 represent 2% of the national GDP. In a sector where classic sports are well established, when a sport becomes fashionable, it's time for opportunities 👁️. This is the case of padel 🎾 (tennis already went through its democratized phase before the digital revolution).
For example, Playtomic, which leads reservation, management, skill levels, and classes, all around padel. In the last round, at the end of 2021, they raised €56M in series C to strengthen and evolve the tool 🥇. Others like Padmi, less than a month ago secured €540,000 through Dozen Investment for tool improvement and marketing. Their value proposition is the professionalization of amateur padel👌🏼. They achieve this by installing cameras that record matches and analyze gameplay 🎥 to extract all kinds of data to aid player development. (Someone in the office might crash the system with their playing style...🫣).
Now we have Notrick, which is seeking €500,000 to consolidate the product and begin expansion. With over 18,000 registered users, they offer a comprehensive solution for academy management 👨🏻💻.
👉🏻 We don’t say this, look here how the term padel has exploded 💥 in the last 5 years. Incredible!
👉🏻 This type of startup often arises from a passion for a sport. If you’ve spotted an opportunity and have that idea about (insert your hobby or passion here🤖), contact us here and schedule a call with our team 📲 to make it a reality.
3. New Housing and Rental Law: the Proptech opportunity that changes everything🔑.
The Government has presented significant changes with the new Housing Law👩🏼⚖️. This change means that, once implemented in the autonomous communities (CCAA), the rules of the game will change. It is a deep reform that affects a traditionally important sector in Spain: real estate🏡.
Each time a law has regulated an activity, opportunities at the online level have multiplied. A clear example was banking with the introduction of PSD2, which not only regulated and opened the flow of banking data🗂️ but also allowed certain activities that were previously limited to traditional banks👴🏼. In the case of housing, the new role of real estate agencies will change. One of the announced measures is the (theoretical) impossibility of charging the tenant 🙅🏻♀️ for services contracted by the landlord. In principle, the law is generating a change in the business model of an entire sector 😱 (!).
👉🏻 Here’s a summary (easy💆🏻♂️) from Fotocasa about what the new Housing Law promises in Spain.
4. Fanfix: the favorite social network for content creators in the USA (especially for GenZ)🎙️.
In these times where being a content creator, influencer, or simply, an opinion maker 💅🏼 is just another profession, choosing the channel to launch and monetize content is a question of eating or not eating that month🏚️.
On Meta (Facebook and Instagram) they have lost a bit of direction 🛞; TikTok is having serious problems and is whitewashing all it can from the content 🙃; YouTube also hasn’t quite settled on its payment policy to creators 🤔; platforms created specifically for this, like Patreon, are positioned in the top for creators to make some money💰. The latest to appear and be acclaimed 🎉 by creators is Fanfix, an alternative to all the others where the earnings are much more succulent (in certain cases). With "clean" content🧸, it allows creators of hours and hours of video and content to monetize better and interact with their fans🤩.
