Problem
Primters comes to offer customization in an era of mass production. The growing demand for customized products highlights a significant trend in consumer preferences.
Whether it's because it can meet very specific desires or to reflect individual identity, "made to order" faces the challenge of its own democratization.
How to make customization a scalable service and relatively competitive in price and service?
How to serve a product on demand without being an atelier?
And, since it is not possible to have stock of all possible customizations, how to make waiting the most personal part, where the user feels unique and worthy of something made by and for them?
Solution: Rational Customization
The rational personalization is a concept we created for Primters and was key during the design of the interface and the development of the technology. This approach allows for the maximum possible personalization for any product, but in a controlled and efficient manner.
Through a configuration system, makers can offer products with parametrizable customization options, eliminating the need for manual intervention or discussions outside of these options.
The result is that customization is based on the almost infinite combination of variables that the maker wants to offer, but never on requests outside of these options, such as 1-1 conversations or budget requests. If it can be configured, it can be produced.
Solution: Activate Primting Now!
Custom products compete against mass-produced ones on two fronts: price and delivery times. Customizing requires production time (and sometimes post-production) that the increasingly demanding user with tight deadlines cannot tolerate.
We wanted to make the user understand that observing how a person dedicates their time and attention to creating something just for them is a valuable moment.
That's why we created Primting Now!: an option that the user can activate when placing their order. By activating it, the maker will record the creation process whether printing, embroidering, engraving, or performing any other of the hypnotic techniques that makers handle.
Thanks to the uploads of PrimtingNow! videos, in addition to the user appreciating the work behind their custom item, the maker generates videos showcasing their work that they can share to show how they work their magic.
